About art,
learning,
and living an artful life.
Thank you for visiting my art website. I have been painting and photographing for most of my life. For me, photography and painting are intertwined as ways of exploring and capturing the world around me. My paintings are the result of both the language of photorealism and the intrinsic qualities of watercolors.
I am drawn to the richness of every day objects, places and moments. There is great beauty in the every day quiet moments, the ordinary and the familiar that surround us. Something catches my eye, something common, and in that moment it strikes me as exceptional. I am particularly drawn to moments and scenes created by people.
While my subjects and colors tend to be contemporary, the tone of my work is still and introspective. My work focuses on the pauses between our words, the scenes between our actions, as these represent the threads that connect us.
I invite you to explore my website and post your comments. If you would like to receive my quarterly eNewsletter with updates about my work, art shows, workshops, and my Etsy Shop you can subscribe by clicking here.
